At Tobie Mining & Energy Inc., we recognize that mining is a temporary land use activity, and therefore incorporate environmental management into all business activities. Managing our environmental responsibilities is an integral component in ensuring that the sustainability of our current and future operations is maintained.

Rehabilitation of historic mine sites and the progressive rehabilitation of our current mining operations is a major part of our environmental focus. Tobie Mining is committed to returning the land to an overall improved condition after mining has ceased while preserving the heritage value of each site. As part of this commitment, consultation with community groups is carried out during the development stage of rehabilitation plans to ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are taken into account.

• If accidents occur, our emergency preparedness shall do the utmost to reduce injury and loss. Saving lives is our highest priority.
